2017 Chevrolet Impala Owners Manual - With a background dating back to 1958, Chevrolet’s biggest sedan remains into the 2017 model year with only a couple of changes. A V6 engine is now available in the base model, while the 2017 Impala LT could have leather seats. 2017 Chevrolet Impala The best and LT trim levels obtain Android mobile phone Auto and Apple inc CarPlay usefulness.
When Chevrolet newly designed its Impala for 2014, it turned from dullness into one of GM’s best full-size, front side-generate sedans, implementing just the proper amount of muscularity and thoroughly clean, chiseled collections. Besides, it looks fantastic, but today’s Impala is comfortable, thrifty, and engaging when going, characteristics mostly absent from the forerunner.
2017 Chevrolet Impala Model and Price
Impala LS ($27,500) has the several-cylinder engine plus air conditioning, six-loudspeaker music, keyless access, towel upholstery, an energy driver’s seat, and 18-inch metal rims. Some alternatives are accessible for the LS, which is offered mainly to fleet customers. (Prices are MSRP, and you should not include the $875 vacation spot demand.)
Impala LT ($29,765) also is four-tube, but contributes Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment, fabric/leatherette upholstery, energy lumbar for front person, Bluetooth mobile phone/mp3, dual-region automatic weather manage, and 18-inches alloy rims, Choices consist of leather-based seat areas, 19-' rims, and a rearview camera.

Impala Leading ($35,845) will get a fuel/Ethanol V6, as efficiently as perforated leather-upholstered seats, warmed entrance seats, a strength top person seat, 19-inch rims, pushbutton start, and rear auto parking devices, Safety features consist of ahead-collision and lane-departure warnings, and blind-spot checking. Navigation and a sunroof are non-obligatory.
2017 Chevrolet Impala Exterior
Expressing its foundation with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet’s Impala shows similar proportions. More restrained at the start than other Chevrolet models, it advantages from crisp body facial lines and an advanced all round information. Even the hood appears neat and invigorating, despite its array of stamped-in lines and ribs.
At the rear is a complex intersection of surfaces, not unlike that segment of Buick’s LaCrosse. All informed, it is a single of GM’s excellent examples of intermingling visible specifics of associated models, while keeping the brand names unmistakably distinctive from the other.
2017 Chevrolet Impala Interior
Far more huge than these kinds of rivals as the Toyota Avalon and Hyundai Azera, the Impala has adequate room for five and travel luggage collection, even though some is much more secure.
Despite the fact that the full dual-cowl dash panel seems lovely, it is suffering from a mishmash of finishes, facial lines, and supplies, making an overly complicated look. Designs are desirable, but the general execution will go several methods past the boundary.
2017 Chevrolet Impala Driving
On the road, the Impala gets across as an around-athletic performer, adeptly controlling ride comfort and coping with. In the substantial-sizing high-quality sedan classification, the Impala stands between the ideal for street manners.
Quick and correct, belt-driven electric strength steering never can feel both slow or overweight. Come back springs keep body toned under a handle. All round composure and stability score ahead of time of numerous competition, including Toyota Avalon, Hyundai Azera, and Ford Taurus.
2017 Chevrolet Impala Summary
Chevrolet can are proud of its current Impala, which combines appealing body outlines with nicely-constructed handling and a gratifying drive. Because the base model is quick on features, an LT can make much more sense for most families. However luring for transferring power, the offered V6 sucks up considerably more gasoline.

When the brake fluid falls to a low
level, the brake warning light comes
on. SeeBrake System Warning
Light 0122.
Brake fluid absorbs water over time
which degrades the effectiveness of
the brake fluid. Replace brake fluid
at the specified intervals to prevent
increased stopping distance. See
Maintenance Schedule 0326.
What to Add
Use only GM approved DOT 3
brake fluid from a clean, sealed
container. See Recommended
Fluids and Lubricants 0335.
{Warning
The wrong or contaminated brake
fluid could result in damage to the
brake system. This could result in
the loss of braking leading to a
possible injury. Always use the
proper GM approved brake fluid.
Caution
If brake fluid is spilled on the
vehicle's painted surfaces, the
paint finish can be damaged.
Immediately wash off any painted
surface.
Battery - North America
The original equipment battery is
maintenance free. Do not remove
the cap and do not add fluid.
This vehicle has a standard 12-volt
battery under the hood. See Engine
Compartment Overview 0253.
Refer to the replacement number
shown on the original battery label
when a new 12-volt battery is
needed.
Stop/Start System
If equipped with the 2.5L L4 Engine,
the vehicle has a stop/start system
to shut off the engine to help
conserve fuel. See Starting the
Engine 0206. Vehicles with Stop/Start have an
Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) 12-volt
underhood battery. Installation of a
standard 12-volt battery will result in
reduced 12-volt battery life.
There is also an auxiliary AGM
battery behind the access panel in
the left rear of the trunk. This battery
is for managing the stop/start
auxiliary loads and is not to be used
for any other purpose. See your
dealer if the auxiliary battery needs
service.
When using a 12-volt battery
charger on the 12-volt AGM battery,
some chargers have an AGM
battery setting on the charger.
If available, use the AGM setting on
the charger, to limit charge voltage
to 14.8 volts.
